31. Camden LGBT Forum / Camden and Islington LGBT History Month 2019
Camden LGBT Forum is an independent registered charity supporting victims of hate crime and celebrating local talent. We have projects to get local LGBT people back into work, run a group to get young people speaking in public and operate a safe havens scheme for victims of abuse. We have run a History Month locally for 8 years and this is the fourth in partnership with Islington Council. It is created from the inspiration of the national LGBT History Month campaign and is widely regarded as one of the world's most successful local LGBT events. The London Boroughs of Camden and Islington are to host the world's largest program for LGBT History Month throughout February 2014. The program is put together by Camden LGBT Forum with the support of Camden and Islington Councils and a team of highly dedicated volunteers. This month is about celebrating Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans histories. The theme is music but events cross genres of film, poetry, science, biography and art.
The program has more than 50 events and most of them are free to attend. Highlights will include our Loudest Whispers VI, one of the largest outsider art projects in the UK featuring over 30 new and local LGBT artists. We will be entertained through films about our queer music heritage at the British Museum and we will explore old and new with a concert by Transpose featuring music by Tchaikovsky, a gay man whose heritage is being washed out by powerful figures in Russia. In Islington we will host events dedicated to the life of Magnus Hirschfeld, one of our movement's founding fathers, and enjoy a discussion on music criticism with one of the world's top critics, Professor Bryce Morrison. And don't forget our closing night extravaganza, 'The Glamour Factory' at the Camden Centre on the 28th.

Leicester Wildecats - one of the longest serving football clubs serving the LGB community.
Leicester Wildecats are a football club based in Leicester serving the lesbian, gay and bisexual community. Formed in 1996, they believe that sexual orientation should not be a barrier to playing sport.
We attract both male and female players of all abilities, ages, and races and are proud to be a community club. We even have straight players who believe in our ethos! So why not come along to one of our kickabouts, which take place every Wednesday at 7pm at St Margarets Pasture astroturf pitches. New members are always welcome to try us out - it's an alternative to going out on the scene and you'll get fit!
See website for fixture dates.
