Very useful resource with lots of news, support network information, local scene information etcThe Suffolk LGBT Network was founded in 1988, and evolved from the Suffolk Gay and Lesbian Helpline in 2010. Our organisation is part of the long tradition of self-help within the LGBT Community. Suffolk LGBT Network is just one of the many LGBT resources that have been established to meet the differing needs of the community.
Each year, we have contact with many people, ranging from those who are deeply unhappy with their present situation, through to parents who are worried about the future of their gay or lesbian child's future.
Other callers want to know where to meet other LGBT people while they are in Suffolk or travelling away.
All our volunteers are gay, lesbian, or bisexual and are trained in helpline counselling. This involves listening, giving information and utilising our own knowledge of the LGBT community.
